New Recruits!

Here at Freedom, we have undergone a lot of structural change recently. Due to the ever-increasing size of the organisation and the number of service users we reach, included in that change has been the recruitment of 3 new staff members.

Janet, Jessica and Catherine are our Cluster Support Workers who are each assigned to a different area which we cover. Janet (who was already a client support staff member) looks after the Bolsover and Clowne centres; Jessica the Killamarsh, Renishaw, and Tinsley centres; and Catherine is covering the Mansfield, Ollerton, and Shirebrook centres.

Each Cluster Worker is responsible for co-ordinating volunteers in their area, whether that is for our cafes, support service, or events. They will also build relationships with local businesses and schools and form relationships which will aid Freedom in delivering a more effective service. Events will be planned by each worker for their respective area, in order to give each individual centre what they need rather than a uniform approach to events which had been necessary in the past. Cluster Workers will be the first point of contact for any centre specific issues or ideas.

Stephen, a long-standing volunteer, is our new Food Bank and Warehouse Co-ordinator. He is the new muscle of the organisation, whose role is to sort through all the generous food bank donations and send them off to centres ready to be given out to those in need.

We are very excited to have these new recruits on board, and look forward to working with them all!
